  • Next time you buy a new appliance, look for the energy efficiency rating. On the A to G labelling scheme, A is the most efficient. These appliances can save you money as well as reducing your energy consumption.
  • Buy 'in season' produce as 'out of season' produce is often grown in high-energy greenhouses.
  • Let your leftovers cool before putting them in the fridge, this will reduce the amount of energy used.
  • Keep the back of the fridge clean so it will work most efficiently.
