The world's local bankHSBC is taking a number of steps and introducing new initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of its day-to-day operations.
Employees will be engaged through environmental education, awareness and training courses and workplace management solutions, as well as through involvement in the HSBC Climate Partnership. Several engagement projects have already taken place, click on the links below to read more.
Workplace management solutions will include flexible working practices, such as central working, home working, virtual office environments and providing teleconferencing equipment to reduce travel needs.
Raising awareness among customers, stakeholders, and staff is an essential part of HSBC's commitment to the environment. By involving our staff around the world, we can improve operational efficiency, establish best practice, and illustrate the role that each individual can play within this commitment. There are currently five awareness raising campaigns across the Group.
