Consumers Demand Green Action from UK's Top Brands

A survey of UK consumers shows a gap between actions they want and expect from top brands on climate change and what actions they think they are actually taking. Awareness of what companies are doing is low, with 68% of people unable to identify any brands as taking a lead on climate change.

The Climate Brand Index, commissioned by The Climate Group, tracks year-on-year consumer perceptions on how brands are performing on climate change. Many consumers say they will now consider choosing brands for environmental reasons, from energy providers to everyday shopping, and look to the brands to offer solutions.
