HSBC Investments has launched the HSBC Climate Change fund, investing in around 60 companies best placed to benefit from developing solutions to the challenges presented by climate change.

The fund aims to offer investors greater choice on capturing climate change opportunities and will be run by SINOPIA, HSBC's global quantitative specialist. The fund will be measured against the HSBC Global Climate Change index and back-testing to 2004 has revealed a return of 125%, outperforming the MSCI World index average of 55%.
