EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) Partner of the Year
HSBC North America was EPA Partner of the Year in 2005. This was awarded largely due to HSBC making the 8th largest corporate purchase of renewable energy certificates. HSBC also earned distinction for operating Energy Star rated buildings in Pomona and Salinas, California.
