HSBC is proud to support The Science of Survival, a new exhibition exploring how we will all survive on a changing planet. This fun, interactive exhibition invites visitors to consider the challenges posed by climate change and dwindling resources such as oil and water.
The concepts and issues are outlined in the Briefing area by four animated characters, who provide help and advice throughout the exhibition. Visitors then go through sections covering Eating, Drinking, Enjoying, Moving and Building, developing their own solutions for the year 2050.
'The Science of …' team worked with leading scientists, educationalists, companies, NGOs and designers to create an exciting exhibition for both young and adult visitors. A tracking system remembers visitors’ choices at various exhibits so the final area, Future City, comes alive with neighbourhoods designed by visitors themselves.
Jointly sponsored by HSBC, Nissan and BASF, the exhibition launches at the Science Museum in London on 5 April 2008, where it will spend about six months before touring throughout the world over the next five years.
