UK – Thriftwood school
Thriftwood School, located just outside London, provides education for students with learning difficulties and additional complex needs. Thriftwood joined the HSBC Family of Schools (Family schools) in 2006 and has since participated in several activities with other Family schools such as an inter-student council and an entrepreneurship masterclass.
Thriftwood students have increased their confidence and improved inter-personal skills through participation in these activities. Students from other schools have also learned much from the opportunity to interact with these students.
All of the students were invited to HSBC’s headquarters in Canary Wharf, London for these events and were expected to work together and contribute to the best of their abilities.
