Written and illustrated by two HSBC staff members in 2001, the story of Tuska Elephant and Pepi Elephant is designed to introduce young children (aged 5-7) to money and what it can be used for.
Illustrated with pictures to help children recognise coins and their values, it also introduces the concept of saving as a means to getting bigger treats.
An accompanying classroom activity book includes simple arithmetic and word activities, as well as colouring and shape recognition puzzles, all using Tuska and Pepi illustrations.
