Hong Kong – Social Entrepreneurship Programme
Hang Seng Bank - a subsidiary of HSBC - supports the Hang Seng Bank Social Entrepreneurship Programme. Organised by the Hong Kong Youth Institute, the programme is designed to teach students aged 15-18 about entrepreneurial skills and the role that corporate responsibility plays in the business world.
The theme for 2007 is 'Environmental Enterprise'. Mentors from the business or environmental sectors will assist the students and guide them as they prepare a business proposal. Students have to attend workshops and visit environmental enterprises before submitting a business proposal for establishing an enterprise that would help improve the environment.
